Kevin Rudd’s Shitstorm

Kevin Rudd’s political maneuverings make others efforts seem benign. This one canny Prime Minister would break any rule to appeal to the masses even resorting to gutter language to appeal to his audience. That’s right, let’s speak their language, it’s a shitstorm! It pains me to say it, but this latest calculated plot demonstrates just how politically adept Kevin Rudd and his strategists are. Fact is, just as his strip club incident in New York drew him closer to the electorate his backers are banking on the very same formula to bring about a similar connection to those affected by the recent Pacific brands decision. Moreover, it appears to have worked, in a short poll following the slip the question was asked, ‘Did the 'shit storm' comment bother you or not?” Not surprisingly over 66% of respondents chose the “No it didn't bother me, it shows me he's a 'real' person” answer.
